Lacock, Bath and Stonehenge - 5000 years of history in a day

On this special day out, we partly follow the old coaching route from London  to Bath, via Hungerford and through the historic town of Marlborough, which still retains its coaching inns and even a 17th century silk merchant's house, which was built after the Great Fire of Marlborough (1653). We continue towards the southern Cotswolds pasing through the Neolithic landscape, where you will see Silbury Hill (the largest man-made mount in Europe, which dates back to 2350BC), the Cherwell White Horse (the second oldest) and along a narrow country lane, where you will see beautiful examples thatched cottages.  Our first stop is in the
